Three hands-on sessions on the three lifts that matter. Thursdays, 6:30–7:30 PM — August 27, September 3, and September 10 at HVPL in Highland, NY.
One lift, one hour, one night a week. Each session stands on its own — come to the one you need, or take all three and walk out with a working handle on the squat, the bench press, and the deadlift. We keep the group small (5–10 lifters) so everyone actually gets hands on a barbell and gets individual feedback. No previous barbell experience required.
Every session is Thursday, 6:30–7:30 PM at 155 Vineyard Ave, Highland, NY.
Setting up in a combo rack, bar placement, bracing, stance and depth. We start with gym and equipment safety — racks, jacks, and loading a bar — then move straight into squatting with feedback on every set.
Grip, setup, leg drive, and bar path on a competition bench. Includes how to spot and be spotted safely, plus working with the racks and safeties so you can bench on your own with confidence.
Bar position, hip height, bracing, and locking out without wrecking your back. Conventional and sumo both covered, plus how to reset between reps and pull off the platform safely.
Small groups, rotating through the racks, so nobody stands around waiting.
What we're covering, what to expect, and a warm-up that gets you ready to lift.
How to use a combo rack, how to use a jack, how to load a bar correctly and safely, and how to set up so the equipment works for you instead of against you.
The lift broken down into the pieces that matter, with demonstrations and the cues we actually use when coaching.
We split into groups so you work together and keep moving — one lifting, others loading and spotting. Both coaches circulate the whole time, watching for safety and giving individual feedback.
The errors we saw on the floor, how to fix them, and open questions before you head out.
Attend one, two, or all three. Take all three and the last one is nearly free.
